The previous ESSWAP course on behavioural pharmacology in June 2008 was highly appreciated by the participants, who originated from the USA, Malaysia, China, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany (3), and the Netherlands (3). Their evaluation in pdf format can be downloaded here. ESSWAP courses are set up specifically for bio-scientists who want to expand their understanding of behavioural pharmacology as the ultimate level of integrative phenotyping, to acquire the knowledge and necessary skills for the good conduct of behavioural experiments, and to soundly extrapolate their data to clinical pharmacology. Seminars cover: ethical issues, experimental design, specific types of behaviour, applied behavioural pharmacology, and case studies. Uniquely we include a one-day practical session. Participation is limited to a maximum of 12 students, admitted on the basis of qualification and recommendation by manager and/or supervisor. Detailed information and an on-line application questionnaire are available on website http://www.esswap.org. Inquiries preferably by e-mail to the Study Director at director@esswap.org, or by telephone to +31 26 4432 329 (office) or +31 6 2318 7672 (cell phone). |
